E.V. - BONSAI STYLES - BUNJIN litterati

BUNJIN (Litterati)

Elegant in its elegant simplicity, is said to have been inspired by ancient Chinese paintings depicting trees soaring over high mountains. The distinctive feature of the style is an obvious disproportion between the length of the trunk and the root mass (enclosed in a small jar, round or flared) and the canopy. A thin stem, which brings few thin branches, most of which is concentrated towards the apex.
